URW Leadership Team 2021-2022



Erica Liu (she/her) – President

Erica Liu is a Presbyterian minister and has served as Campus Co-Pastor at Pres House since 2004. She is a second generation, Taiwanese-American who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. She has been part of URW since 2004 and is honored to serve in the role of President. Building upon the good work of past URW Leadership Teams, she looks forward to cultivating a strong network of religious workers that partners with UW-Madison to support the well-being of students.





Emily Tveite (she/her) – Vice President for Membership andĀ Finance

Emily Tveite began her work at Lutheran Campus Ministry in August 2015. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas and earned her undergraduate degree in Religion from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She completed her seminary studies at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.  She began serving on the URW Leadership Team in 2021.





Daniel Johnson – Vice President for Programming

Daniel Johnson is the Director of Technology and Campus Ministry Engagement at Upper House. Dan holds a leisure, youth and human services degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and is working toward a graduate degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Originally from the Madison area, Dan grew up in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin.





Greg Steinberger – Vice President for Outreach

Greg Steinberger has served as the Executive Director of UW Hillel since 1999. He holds a master’s degree in social work from the Sol Drachler Program in Jewish Communal Leadership at the University of Michigan. Under his leadership, the UW Hillel has been transformed from a small well-liked, yet sleepy, campus institution to one that reaches increasingly large numbers of Jewish students, and is an example for what Hillels can and should become.
